Computer trouble and the craziest beach I've ever seen

, in India

Easter Sunday (8 April 2007) started with computer trouble. My plan was to go to the internet café at 10 in the morning and sort out all my online stuff. Well, so much for that: in the first internet café everything was incredibly slow (I use a USB stick with portable applications). A bit annoyed, I switched to another place that had a virus scanner. It promptly deleted all the applications on my USB stick. In the first café I had managed to infect my whole USB stick with a very nasty worm. It then took me almost four hours to set everything up again and clean it. What a bloody mess.

Anyway, the evening turned out rather nice. We decided to go to Fort George. Unfortunately it was already closed, but since it's right by the beach, we simply went there instead. And that was exactly the right decision.

This beach was nothing like the beaches I knew. It must have been a kilometre wide before you reached the sea, and it was completely packed with people.

Everywhere there were little stalls selling all kinds of food, plastic knick-knacks and souvenirs. Sadly we got there quite late and it soon got dark, so I couldn't really capture the huge crowds. Still, I think the pictures turned out quite nice.
